Destiny is the sum total of God’s design for your life. Yes, design! Every manufacturer has a design for his product likewise God has his on you and every individual.
Examples abound of people who fulfilled their destiny.
Abraham did become what God said to him; great, blessed, famous and a blessing. He had that promised seed which is Christ. Abraham lived his destiny by obeying God’s instructions.
From birth, it was obvious Moses was no ordinary child. He arrived this planet with a mission to deliver the Israelites. What a destiny! Though he was trained and had the passion, the job was still undone. Moses was only able to live his destiny when he started obeying God’s instructions.
The man loved by God and many- David -was anointed for his destiny of leading the people of God. He walked into his destiny when he responded as a shepherd boy to his father’s instruction to visit his brothers on the battlefield.
The wailing Prophet had his life laid out even though his abilities seemed opposite. Jeremiah rose above his limitations and lived out his destiny of crying against his nation by responding to God’s instructions.
Peter and the other disciples were ordinary everyday people. Their walk into destiny was tied to obeying instructions of the nature “follow me…”, “go into…”.  They secured their destiny when they obeyed the instruction to “tarry...”.
Saul whom we call Paul confirmed he was set apart from his mother’s womb to be a great missionary. His effort made him otherwise! Then came by the dramatic encounter with specific instructions; the obedience of which saw him living out what he was born for.
We have our destiny set aside for us from the foundations of the earth; before we were conceived. We were no ordinary child or ordinary now though we may be seen as such. We have been born anew to restore us to the default settings and anointed of the Holy Spirit to empower us to be who and what God want us to be. However, we will only walk into this by obeying the father’s instructions.
The path to destiny is obedience!
